TRAVEL TIPS - PACK LIKE A PRO

Preparing properly your luggage will allow you to enjoy the time on vacation and avoid the risk of forgetting something. Whether it’s an essential item or simply one that will make your trip more enjoyable, be sure to include it in your luggage. Nothing is more unpleasant than having to go shopping on a trip to replace an item you forgot at home. Here’s a short list of the essential elements to prepare your suitcases and travel luggage like a pro.

1- FIRST, CREATE LISTS OF THINGS TO INCLUDE IN YOUR LUGGAGE.

Create a list for each type of trip you make. A check list for trips in an all-inclusive, to Europe, for a weekend, etc. These lists will help you remember the essentials and limit the addition of unnecessary items. Take only the most important and limit the number of toiletries and/or beauty products that you bring.

2- CHOOSE A LUGGAGE ACCORDING TO THE TRIP YOU ARE PLANNING.

The choice of luggage or suitcase will be influenced by your destination, but also by the type of traveling you have planned. A large suitcase will be ideal for a trip with a unique destination, a backpack will be convenient for a trip with multiple destinations and with lots of transportation, a carry on luggage will be ideal for a short trip, etc.

A waterproof hard-shell suitcase will let you keep your belongings dry and protect them during their transfer from one aircraft to another. Be sure to check the suitcase dimensions allowed by airlines, they might differ. 3- HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR SUITCASE

Firstly, inside pockets will allow you to compartmentalize your belongings and to prevent them from scattering everywhere in your luggage.

Rolling clothes for a travel will free up space in your suitcase. This garment folding technique can also be beneficial for some fabrics as they tend to be less wrinkled. To better protect your fragile items, tuck them in between layers of clothing, you can also wrap them in a piece of clothing.

Another tip to maximize the space in your suitcase is to use several small kits to store your toiletries, underwear, makeup products, accessories, chargers, etc. You will be able to fit them in all the available space of your suitcase or travel bag.

4- WHAT TO BRING IN YOUR SUITCASE

The basic rule is that you bring fewer bottoms than tops. Bottoms can often be worn several times in the same week depending on the planned activities. For tops, it is recommended to bring 1 per day or 1 per day minus 2, example 5 tops for 7 days of travel since some tops can be worn twice or you may have access to washing machines.

When you make your lists, don’t forget to include a universal charger to charge all your electronic devices, your passport (if applicable) and all your travel documents, this will save you a lot of trouble.
